TOOL and Bitcoin story

THIS IS FASCINATING, WHERE THE MUSIC OF TOOL HAS LED ME!

I DIDN’T REALIZE UNTIL THIS MOMENT.
THERE’S SOMETHING TO IT!
THE GOLDEN SPIRAL꩜,
THAT’S THE ANSWER!
THIS IS THE ANSWER! ⬇︎

#TOOL #Bitcoin

🧡They have a lot in common🧡

…I started to see through the eyes of a child, looking at a perfect object. A piece of computer hardware. For which I had a million questions! Later, it turned into an interest in technology.
And soon after, I realized I hated programming!
Absurd.

The word technology comes from the New Latin word technologia, which originated from the Greek word τεχνολογια - technologia
(meaning: a treatise on an art or science/a technically appropriate treatise/a scientifically established rule/establishing rules for scientific discourse), derived from the words τεχνη - techné (art/skill/craft/science) and λογος - logos (word/doctrine).
And for a crispy craft, you need a proper #TOOL (instrument).

And you know what’s the most fascinating part? For the first two years, I didn’t understand a single word of the meaning behind the songs.
But that’s why my 🧡was beating fully in rhythm ⚡️with TOOL’s music!⚡️

Until this very moment!

On this occasion, I want to thank my brother 🤘🏼🖤

The connection between TOOL’s song lyrics and the philosophy of Bitcoin is an interesting concept because both phenomena—TOOL’s music and Bitcoin—carry deep, often philosophical and rebellious undertones that may overlap in themes like freedom, decentralization, resistance to authority, and the search for truth.
Let’s try to connect them.

The Philosophy of Bitcoin
Bitcoin, as a decentralized cryptocurrency, is built on principles such as:
• Decentralization: Eliminating central authority (banks, governments) and transferring power to individuals.
• Transparency and trust: The blockchain is publicly verifiable yet pseudonymous, promoting freedom and privacy.
• Resistance to the system: Bitcoin emerged as a response to the 2008 financial crisis, symbolizing resistance to the manipulation of money by central banks.
• Self-sovereignty: Individuals control their finances without intermediaries.
• Scarcity and value: A fixed supply of 21 million bitcoins reflects the concept of value based on limited resources.

TOOL’s Lyrics and Their Connection
TOOL’s songs are often philosophical, mystical, and critical of conformity, dogma, and systems of power. Their lyrics explore personal transformation, the search for truth, and resistance to manipulation. Let’s take a few songs and show how their themes resonate with Bitcoin’s philosophy.

1. “Forty Six & 2” and the Evolution of Consciousness
The lyrics of Forty Six & 2 speak about the evolution of human consciousness and overcoming limitations. Phrases like “Step into the shadow” or “See my shadow changing” suggest personal transformation and liberation from old paradigms.
Connection to Bitcoin:
• Bitcoin represents an “evolution” of the financial system—a shift from centralized banks to a decentralized network. Just as the song speaks of overcoming the old “self,” Bitcoin encourages overcoming the old monetary system and embracing a new paradigm where individuals take control.
• The philosophy of self-sovereignty in Bitcoin (“Be your own bank”) parallels the pursuit of higher consciousness in TOOL’s lyrics.

2. “Ænema” and Resistance to the System
Ænema is a critique of consumerist society, corruption, and superficiality. Lyrics like “Fret for your figure and fret for your latte / Fret for your lawsuit and fret for your hairpiece” and the call for a cleanse (“Flush it all away”) express a desire for radical change.
Connection to Bitcoin:
• Bitcoin emerged as a response to a corrupt financial system (the 2008 crisis, manipulation by central banks). Just as Ænema calls for the destruction of the old order, Bitcoin offers an alternative to traditional banking.
• The phrase “Learn to swim” could be a metaphor for adapting to a new reality—in Bitcoin’s case, a decentralized financial system that requires new skills and awareness.

3. “The Grudge” and Liberation from Burdens
In The Grudge, the lyrics speak of letting go of negative emotions and old paradigms (“Let go”). The song emphasizes the importance of forgiveness and freeing oneself from things that hold you back.
Connection to Bitcoin:
• Bitcoin, as a technology, encourages people to “let go” of dependence on banks and governments. Letting go of old ways (fiat currency, centralized control) mirrors what TOOL describes as liberation from internal burdens.
• The philosophy of HODL (holding Bitcoin despite volatility) reflects patience and belief in a long-term vision, resonating with the idea of perseverance in The Grudge.

4. “Lateralus” and the Search for Balance
Lateralus is a celebration of creativity, intuition, and the search for balance. Lyrics like “Spiral out, keep going” and references to the Fibonacci sequence evoke the idea of natural order and infinite potential.
Connection to Bitcoin:
• Bitcoin’s blockchain is a mathematically elegant system that operates on principles of cryptography and decentralized consensus—a kind of “natural” financial structure free from human interference. This system resembles the organic order TOOL often sings about.
• The idea of “spiral out” could be a metaphor for the growing adoption of Bitcoin, which is gradually transforming global finance.

Synthesis: TOOL and Bitcoin as Rebellious Forces
TOOL’s lyrics and Bitcoin’s philosophy share common themes:
• Resistance to authority: TOOL critiques societal dogmas, while Bitcoin challenges financial institutions.
• Personal freedom: Both encourage individuals to take control of their lives—whether it’s consciousness (TOOL) or finances (Bitcoin).
• Transformation: TOOL speaks of the evolution of the mind, Bitcoin of the evolution of money.
If we were to create a fictional TOOL-style song inspired by Bitcoin, it might look like this (in English, to match the band’s style):
[Note: The original article does not provide a sample song, so this part is incomplete as per the original text.]

Conclusion
TOOL’s lyrics and Bitcoin’s philosophy intertwine in their pursuit of liberation, truth, and transformation. TOOL uses music and metaphors to explore inner freedom, while Bitcoin offers a practical tool for financial independence. Both approaches call for awakening and resistance to old systems, making them compatible in the spirit of rebellious evolution.
