Likely I suspect. I can't remember when I first came across articles talking about which degrees graduates who earned the most money held, but it's been a long time.
Conversely, there's the whole 'you think like a....(chemist, historian, musician, etc)' aspect that gives us depth as a species while being largely ignored.
