Doom???! A tiny bit overkill for Doom, but yeah it’s kind of weird how most hardware from the last 15 or so years is still quite usable. It’s almost as if hardware got “good enough” a decade ago. My wife’s iMac is 12 years old. The only thing I’ve changed is putting an SSD in it. Fastest machine I own is my work M2 MBP, but I run a full dev stack on it so it needs a some speed.
