Except... After converting the JEDs to equations, I found that they basically were identical.
The IIx PAL is only used to generate *a single output* from a handful of inputs.
Comparing it to the PAL used in the IIcx (which has a few other outputs) - we can see that the same equation exists in both the IIcx and the IIx.
This would mean that all I need to do is compare the IIcx schematic to the pinourt of the equation to figure out how Apple adapted the Macintosh ii into the IIx.
