Notice how most of the large, well-known privately owned companies are stable, competent, thinking long-term and not suffering from managerial bloat (e.g. Valve, SpaceX). You can't have this if you have a bunch of parasite amoeba brains who only operate on reacting to line going up or down. This is how you get Jack Welch types into power. The situation is even worse now with companies like Blackrock/Vanguard being able to cripple a company with ESG; at least Welch and his protégés still understood that a company needs to maintain a bottom line.
