I am REALLY excited about intergeneric crosses, but they are hard to lay your hands on! I finally am getting a Shipova (a fairly gettable cross between the pear genus (pyrus) and whitebeam (a less-known member of the same family that contains pears, apples, hawthorns, etc.)
