I can't say where anyone is in their journey, but where I am is, it's simply easier, and less conflicted, to never defend violence, even partially, even obliquely.
I can say my values don't include those things, without exceptions.
When the thing you are defending is a civil democracy, with rule of law that becomes all the more important.
Otherwise ruin.
