aliexpress is owned by alibaba. So, it's either give your money to a Chinese billionaire or shareholders of an American company.
I use Alibaba for sourcing potential new vendors between trips to China. I haven't used Aliexpress. But I suspect you can get many of the same products on alibaba and there are pictures
