Every previous claim of "you no longer have to know what you're doing" was false, so I am unconvinced.

In the early 1950s IBM introduced Fortran. The propaganda around it was, you will no longer need coders or debugging because technical end users will write their own programs and they will just work!

COBOL's propaganda was, managers can read and understand the code because it is in plain English!
