If governments were clever —and let’s not flatter them— they wouldn’t ban privacy tools. They’d wrap them in indirect, soft-touch regulations that claim to “protect users” while quietly binding them in compliance tape.

They wouldn’t delist #Monero either. They’d let it float on CEXs, one thumb resting on the scale. The price “self-regulates,” they say —funny how the invisible hand always wears a badge.

The most effective regulations aren’t prohibitive; they’re subtle. They come disguised as “public-private partnerships” or “transparency initiatives,” soothing words for quiet capture.

That’s how #privacy becomes a fenced garden: you can stroll, but not dig. All in the name of responsible innovation, of course.

Don’t repeat this. Let the vultures sleep. If they think they control the storm, they might not notice the lightning already inside.
