I survived. It went well, I guess. I'm not totally sure they completely get it, but they said it doesn't make any difference to their love for me and they support me. My mother also said I had said things in the past which made this not a surprise, but I have no idea what those were and wish someone had told me because I confess I was a little surprised when I figured it out.
