Ah weidai, been a while since I read his stuff. I'm just gonna trust him with that math. The idea seems right, though, at least conceptually. I'm trying to imagine the actual physical mechanism of transferring heat to a black hole, and the idea hits problems there. You'd still be stuck with radiators, and I'm not sure what advantage there is to sparing space the radiation that you want to expel. Maybe the advantage is stealth. Or maybe over a few million years the captured energy amounts to something useful.
