The ambulance initially took me to Sunshine Hospital.
I spent 1 day & night there before being transferred to the Royal Melbourne Neuroscience ward for tests & eventual surgery.
At Sunshine they had me in a cubicle - one amongst what seemed to be dozens.
Either side of me & elsewhere in the cubicles, people screamed all night!
I was dead tired when I arrived at RMH, having got zero sleep & zero water since being admitted at Sunshine.
