I’ve been slowly, successfully, waging a war with my phone. It’s not that I consider all of my time on my phone bad. My most dominant use is for engaging with communities I care about. But at the same time I see it stealing my focus and time away from activities I care deeply about.
I think the thing I fear the most about just dropping it entirely is the loss of my online communities. I work from home, and I think that during the day I’ll get lonely 😰. Simultaneously I know that in person relationships are more powerful and enduring (sorry online friends!). Ugh
