"content": "Senior officials in the Donald Trump administration told Fox News that Joe Kent was considered “a known leaker” and had been excluded from intelligence briefings with the president months ago. They also claimed he was not involved in any planning or discussions related to Iran.\n\nAccording to one official, the White House urged Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, to remove Kent from his role as head of the National Counterterrorism Center over suspected leaks, but he ultimately remained in the position.\n\nKent is a highly decorated combat veteran who served with the 75th Ranger Regiment and United States Special Forces, completing eleven combat deployments, primarily in Iraq. After retiring in 2018, he worked as a paramilitary officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. His wife, Shannon M. Kent, was killed in a suicide bombing in Syria in 2019.\n\nCritics argue there is no public evidence supporting the leak allegations, suggesting the claims may be politically motivated, particularly following Kent’s reported resignation in protest of another conflict in the Middle East. \n\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/64b1925aea322b464e3525ff659f950a287a9412733fdf96d648281ce2f156a5.jpg ",
