I had someone (a Lou Dobbs fan, so you get a hint as to the mentality) tell me in grave, no-nonsense terms that I should get out of China before the 2008 Olympics. (This was in 2003.) Because "China's economy is going to collapse at the end of 2007 and they're going to be looking for scapegoats."
