1. fuel is over 2 euros per liter....
2. road tax goes up exponentially by the weight of the car
3. A V8 that costs around $50K in the USA, after Dutch tax that costs more than a Mercedes.
So, the Mustang that some kids get for their 16th birthday in the US, is TOTALLY UNAFFORDABLE for the average working dude."

"American cars are made for America. The roads are wide and straight, gas is cheap, parking spaces are huge, distances are vast. Cornering prowess is less important here than comfort and ability to eat miles, MPG isn't that important."
