Remember, even if you are coupled up — married or not — you are an INDIVIDUAL, one person.
Just cuz you have a romantic partner does NOT mean you have fused into one entity!
(I find couples like that to be SUPER ANNOYING!!)
“I” does NOT automatically become a “we” for everything, even if have kids!
Ideally, it’s 2 individuals with their OWN personalities, interests, hobbies, opinions/views CHOOSING to be with their romantic partner for the RIGHT reasons (as in not cuz the other person has a lot of money, status, power, physical beauty, etc).
The couple should share mutual interests and have similar life values & visions for their future but also DIFFERENT enough that they do their OWN thing and can learn from each other.
COMPATIBLE & COMPLEMENTARY!
If one is too dependent on their romantic partner and clingy & desperate for them to like them so change their views/opinions or answers to match yours when ask them — that would be a major TURN OFF for me, personally.
That has happened to me where I asked a guy some questions and he changed his answers to match mine.
I did NOT like that!
Obviously, I eventually broke up with him.
He was even more WHOLESOME than me!
And personally, it’s been my belief that Musicians (unless a Composer) & Artists are NOT great for dating. They’re my people, but I like people who are reliable, stable, and do NOT like drama!
CREATIVE and SMART but NO DRAMA! Flaky people are a waste of my valuable time!
They get filtered out!
