Ladybird's heel is so good. So good. But she is also still a puppy and I had one of those moments where I had to swallow my heart to get it beating again. In retrospect, it wasn't nearly as bad as my mammal brain made it out to be -- Ladybird saw Gunny get distracted by a smell in the gutter, got distracted herself, and at the same time a car passed in the furthest lane. I called out and the dogs stopped, and I don't think there could have been a real problem, but I also don't like dogs getting into bad habits like that.
