But capitalists have spent the last century pretending governments expand property rights for ideological reasons. And the only way to combat this is supposedly reducing all government including the welfare state.

I suppose I’m being a bit unfair, but it feels like this is the level of analysis some views deserve, given the failures to grapple with the limitations of market capitalism as we’ve experienced them multiple times in the last century.
