This plot shows that every time electricity supply doubles, GDP goes up by about 80% (the power law exponent is 0.85).

Starting from the left on the plot, a couple of solar modules per household is enough to double power.

Many poor regions are rapidly deploying solar and batteries - it's cheap and doesn't need the government building grid.

So many people have good things coming soon: Light, phone charging, fans. Later on: Fridges, tv, no-smoke cooking, air conditioning.
