I've briefly discussed the periods with my doctor and ended up getting the lowest dose of antidepressants for the mood swings (ran out last year and haven't gotten the prescription renewed due to hassle) and advice on how to take ibuprofen effectively. That keeps some symptoms managed. Though my mom has suspicions that I may have a less debilitating case of endometriosis, since the hellish periods are intermittent.
