if, like me, you're an Affinity Designer user that needs aliased pixels, you're in luck

buried in the UI are options to disable anti-aliasing, and when enabled, allow you to export crisp aliased pixel art.

like all affinity settings, this is very poorly documented. here are the steps:

1. select all layers that you want to view as aliased (screenshot 1)
2. click on the Blend Options cog button in the layers box to show the blend options dialog
3. In the Antialiasing dropdown menu, select Force Off (screenshot 2)
4. Go to the View menu, View Mode submenu, and select Pixels.

now your shapes are rendered without anti-aliasing AND will be exported without anti-aliasing. pixel-perfect every time.

now aseprite and affinity can be friends.
