Have connected my smart TV to BBC iPlayer from DE 🇩🇪
As I don’t have the app, I’m viewing through a web browser, with the DNS settings changed to use a VPN one.
The connection is a bit flaky & it seems to be contingent on my phone being on the VPN first 🤷♂️
OK, but iPlayer always this horrific quality-wise? 🤢
The Sound of Music is on & everything is smudged. It looks like crappy sitcom TV, not a classic film.
It seems massively over-compressed: is that normal?
