i never liked horror movies, but even as a kid, i always found it easy to watch the surgery channel, bc there was an understanding that the patient was being cared for by people with good intentions and many years of rigorous training & practice.

while most software production never reproduced that level of rigor & care, there was at least a hope that someday it might.

but now, it seems as if the business of software production has become a horror movie: no care, no understanding, only gore.
