random thoughts: the UK education system does this very insidious thing when it comes to teaching about racism in that it tries to pin it on the United States. Pretty much anything we learned about injustice was from the US or sometimes South Africa. We learned the (sanitised) story of Rosa Parks back to front but never a word of Paul Stephenson and the Bristol Bus Boycott.
