I finished my granddaughter's laptop upgrades this morning. I had to reinstall Linux because the fingerprint reader code I'd installed consistently malfunctioned and I couldn't log in. Now I'm going for a walk, looking for a cheap sleeve or case to package it up in for the handover.
The machine is quite impressive. It's a shame I apparently ordered the wrong upgrade for the display, but the IPS is gorgeous even at HD resolution. And the 16GB RAM and 512GB hard drive seem more than adequate.
Best of all the 72wH battery promises 8 to 10 hours, which will handily get her through a school without a charger.
