The fascism threat is rightly prominent, but a Trump win would be game over for the climate. I already consider Michael Mann's assessment to be unrealistic and overly optimistic, but the "game over" line is his.
A week from now, even the energy transition optimists might go over the tipping point and admit that team doomist has the most realistic assessment. We need more adaptation mixed with our mitigation.
