A couple things.

First, capitalism doesn't tell anyone what to value, aside from free exchange and private ownership (that's a very common misconception).

Second, no one under any economic system has all the access they may want to various creative skills. Even putting aside the sheer impossibility of cultivating them al within oneself, it can be very difficult (especially if you're poor) to find someone else with those skills to help you create what you want.
