The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that some 52 of the 98 journalists arrested since the war on Gaza began remain in Israeli custody.

The number includes 17 journalists from the Gaza Strip, two of whom have been forcibly disappeared, the PPS said. It identified the victims as Nidal al-Wahidi and Haytham Abdul Wahid.

About 15 of the 52 are in administrative detention, a form of incarceration without charge or trial.
