It really is interesting as an autistic woman looking at the autistic men in my family & seeing how differently our autistic tendencies/traits got channeled.
Part of me is envious of their "freedom".
But part of me is grateful that I wasn't allowed to be careless of other people's feelings. I wish I hadn't been asked to be *responsible* for them, but it does irritate me to see my older brother pretend like he couldn't possibly have noticed such things as other people's emotional experiences.
