At first I didn't have a UPS so cops couldn't carry the machine out to do forensics on the running machine, and it wasn't really an issue because our power was buried.
Then I started playing League of Legends and moved to an old-ass apartment building. After I lost a ranked match to a half-second power dip, my APC spell shield was delivered the next day.
Last year, a tornado literally went through my back yard in the middle of a game. Power flickered, browned out, and occasionally dropped entirely for about two minutes straight. I won that match.
Fun fact: apcupsd is configured on my primary machine to sacrifice itself (and all my running services) basically immediately in order to conserve runtime for finishing out League matches.
