I used to support a few RPG creators on Patreon and I must say the Patreon culture is kinda weird. On one hand I'm glad I have a way of supporting them and paying for the entertainment they already provide for free. On the other additional content I get via support is usually some parasocial extension of free stuff. All those discords and hangout parties and insights.
To say the truth I often like the things they make but not necessarily them as people XD
