Your "of course" is an opinion. The new US government consists of Meta and Xitter - they're not going to be vocal about the effects of their algorithms.
Now go to the EU, or Brazil, and see what they're doing. They're targetting all of these algorithms - TikTok just happens to be the highest priority.
