Allegedly the Canadian military estimates the USA would take Canada in under a week. The plan would be to then to launch a massive [insurgency campaign](https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-military-models-canadian-response-to-hypothetical-american-invasion/ ) and apparently [recruit help from afar](https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/government-plans-to-boost-canadian-forces-with-foreign-recruits )
To me, this says that any attempt to liberate Canada would merely transform the country into another meat-grinder like Ukraine.
