What I'm really focused on is getting the average person to see that it's not a scary step to take. Different forms of economic systems don't automatically spell disaster, to the point that we shouldn't even consider making adjustments. Americans are indoctrinated to believe that our economic model is perfect and inviolate, and to never allow even the thought of making changes. This resistance to thoughtfulness and reason and tinkering, with fear mongering and freezing in fear as the alternative, is why we are stuck in this mess.
