The surface in the glas, lakes and sea has a radius with r=6380km. You can not see it very good, because you are to close to the surface.
TIP: start to spend more time in nature, for example, go on the biggest mountain in your area. At the sunset you will see the sun a few seconds ore minutes longer. And after you can not see the sun anymore, look in the sky, and if you are lucky, you will see a plane flying, which wich will be bright on the bottom, because the plane is much higher and so it can see the sun for a few minutes longer than you 😉 .
Just live with open eyes.
