I remember crossing paths with a drug dealer at CCC Berlin circa 2014. I asked him what he was into, speed mostly I guess? He asked me what I was into, I told him "Shulgin compounds mostly I guess?" He had never heard of Sasha. The Bay Area psychedelic bubble is weird.
I went to the Shulgins' home on one of their anniversaries. I had ideas of what his (DEA sanctioned) lab was like, sterile, clinical, etc.
