PSA for fellow gamedevs: we decided that we'd stop offering Steam keys for our games on itch going forward because we're uncomfortable with all the gotchas Valve exerts through that system. So Kitsune Tails on itch hasn't come with Steam keys
This has not generated even one single complaint
Which means it's safe to not support Valve throwing its weight in the market as a de facto monopoly around. You can just not give out Steam keys. The vast majority of people who buy games on itch are fine just owning them on itch
