I've been searching for the last hour for this:
Sometime between 2010 and 2020 I read about a weird theory that there was some "forgotten years" between the 70s and the 80s.
The "evidence" was that the late 70s and early 80s were so distinct and that technology advanced so quickly that they couldn't have been continuous. Something very bad™️ happened during the time and we collectively decided to forget that time period.
I think it was called 19xx or 197x. Anyone remember this theory?
