Dangit. I'm pretty sure a bobcat figured out it can easily hop over our 6' hog wire enclosure to the chickens and jump back out with a bird in its mouth. I've seen one walk past many times but a couple of weeks ago we lost a duck and today a chicken. I don't mind losing a bird to a predator once in a while, but I have a feeling this has become an easy spot to get a meal. This is happening during daylight when the chickens are in their run, for context.

I think a rooster might help, but they can be such assholes. Does anyone have experience with a goose as a flock protector?
