IRC’s identity and auth situation is wacky, but the ephemeral live hangout is very intuitive and fun.
Nostr fixes the identity situation very simply, but the signed and gossiped messages are working against the ephemeral live concept.
Playing around with solving this now with WebTransport. Just for fun basically. But I miss that ephemeral live chat stuff. Actually feels like walking into a bar idk.
