Humanity is adaptive and malleable by its environment. Any cruelty or savagery is learned behavior from its environment not inherent to its nature. We are taught to be cruel and savage. We can unlearn those behaviors. We have a choice. Unfortunately the prevailing economic environment incentivizes these sociopathic behaviors.
