We gave a guy begging some money, and asked him if he needed anything to eat. He said he’d love a bottle of water, so we grabbed that on the way back to our car.
He’d moved on, and we saw him at a crossing and stopped him to give him the water. He gave me a hug instantaneously, and while I really don’t do hugs from strangers well out of the blue, and it took my autistic ass half an hour to process… it was a good thing.
Anyway. We saw a person, as a person, and didn’t walk by today. I’m glad.
