Some 15 years ago I worked for a blind institute. I left on friendly terms and still do the occasional work for them, maintaining some software I wrote for them. They gather up a list of wishes over time and commission me to work on it for a set number of hours every now and again. A little while ago they asked me to put in two days of work, for which I sent an invoice. So far so good.
