That's the one thing that you have absolute control over, what you accept to be true. What do you know to be true? The list is pretty short - I exist (I speak therefore I am). Beyond that it's just layers upon layers of beliefs you've accumulated. It's also through carefully managing these beliefs that a small group of people can control most humans. I rejected the idea of an objective right & wrong about 20 years ago. I believe it's all subjective, although I later learnt that this universe has certain laws that cannot be broken without consequences. The Golden Rule is a simple way of aligning your beliefs with the laws of the universe. I say beliefs because I believe they are precede any thoughts, feelings & actions that arise from within you. Beliefs are precursors & the foundation to the idea of 'free will'. The ability to choose what to believe. Why don't people seem to have a morals anymore? Our shared beliefs have been corrupted over generations. Beliefs around scarcity, who we are, where we find ourselves & what's important have been inserted into our consciousness.
