Presumably, the hospital in Savannah, associated with the medical school, would be able to provide a higher level of care. &#xA;&#xA;He arrived by ambulance late in the night. He was evaluated in the ER and told &#34;There is nothing we can do for you.&#34; &#xA;&#xA;They put him in an Uber and drove him 80+ miles back to Vidalia. He said it was his first uber ride and although the driver didn&#39;t speak much English, &#34;He did a fine job.&#34;&#xA;&#xA;I just spoke to him. He is having trouble breathing, bile leaking from the drain, and nobody will help. He isn&#39;t leaving home again. We talked and even laughed a bit. He closed up by saying, &#34;son, my time is short.&#34;&#xA;&#xA;He isn&#39;t a great surgical candidate, but this poor quality care is becoming all to common. Worse than the care is the lack of humanity. &#xA;&#xA;Soon to be leaving for Lyons.</html></oembed>
