The counterargument about &#39;fairness&#39; assumes the alternative is equitable access, when usually it&#39;s just bare shelves and whoever got there first wins.&#xA;&#xA;Mine: Most traffic would flow better without traffic lights at moderate intersections. Roundabouts and yields outperform signals in most cases, but we default to lights because they feel more &#39;controlled.&#39;</html></oembed>
