Both can be found here. You don't go to 4chan to be serious, if you do it's in a dedicated general where seriousness is an established tone. Several people on pedi however have openly talked about not understanding what is/isn't a joke, so some shitposts are being taken at face value because there is no clear establishment of tone. It's annoying when others don't seem to know what's an obvious joke, but because it's happening, the responsible thing to do as a community would be to figure out how to better establish tones or encourage a bigger separation of content (we have multiple instances, we should dedicate some to being about seriousness only, maybe?)
