The only way you will see it is if you actively seek out that person's posts, or you happen to scroll far enough through your feed that it shows up. I am relatively informal about who I follow. If you follow me, I will follow you back. But maybe I want to be notified if someone in particular, like nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z, posts something, because it may be a new update for my favorite client.
